Miracle Center Difference

A word from our pastor as ministered by the Holy Spirit:

Churches, in general, depend upon various means to bring people to their church. Some use big name evangelists or multitudes of entertaining on interesting ministers; some use music groups of various style that might interest various groups of people; others simply depend on their own abilities to entertain or create interest. Some use hype and shouting, some may use the abilities of others to create a musical extravaganza which they call a praise service. All of which, in one form or another resemble a Hollywood production. There is no bible scripture to verify the use of these materials.

Whatever methods may be in use the goal is always to bring in more people in order to be able to build a bigger fancier church. The result being that they are not grounded in sound doctrine (The Word of God). The Word of God tells us in Romans 16:18: "For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple." The Apostle Paul told us in I Corinthians 2:4-5: "And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power that your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God."

At Miracle Center, we are not trying to build a bigger church. This is not our job, it is God's job. God told us in Acts 2:47 as a result of the apostles' preaching: "Praising God, and having favour with all people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved." God shows this to us clearly through Paul in I Corinthians 3:6: "I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase."

A careful study of the ministry of Jesus and His apostles shows us that they ministered very different than what we find in churches today. They were not involved in musical presentations or entertainment or pep talks, but simply presenting the truth of God in an understandable manner so that those hearing could put it to work in their own individual lives to cause themselves to become victorious through Jesus (I Corinthians 15:57). God told us in Romans 10:17: "So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God." God further showed us in I John 5:4: "For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith."

God showed this to me in an interesting manner. He brought my remembrance back to my military days in the Marine Corps. Never during my time with the Marines did they attempt to tell us about how good victory was, that we could win, nor did they give us pep talks or try to entertain us. Had that been the case, the Marines would have been a miserable failure as a military force. This is what is going on in churches today and it is the reason that Christians today are failures.

By contrast, God showed me that my time with the Marines was spent being trained in warfare. This training was done by means of considerable instruction and much practice, putting into operation what we had been taught. It was an operation of knowledge and discipline. This is probably the reason the Marine Corps became the most effective fighting force in the world, gaining victory after victory.

God has shown us in many scriptures, such as I Timothy 1:18, that we are in a war. And the way that we will be victorious in our lives in this war is through training; not entertainment, hype, pep talks, or flesh appealing musical programs. This training must be based on instruction of solid principles (The Word of God) and putting into operation in our daily lives what we have learned. This is what will cause Christians to be victorious overcomers.

At Miracle Center, this is the difference. You will not find the hype, the entertainment, the productions or the other things that appeal to the flesh. But this is what you will find: The Word of God is ministered as Jesus and His apostles ministered it through the anointing of the Holy Spirit. And, God is still confirming His Word with signs following (Mark 16:20).

It will change your life. Talk to some of the people that have been hearing the Word of God at Miracle Center. Find out what it has done in their lives. God is no respector of persons (Acts 10:34). He will do it in your life, also. Isn't it worth giving God the chance to change your life? You will not regret making your decision for God and His Word. Truly, The Miracle Center difference.
